SAFEGUARD YOUR PERSONAL AND COMMERCIAL PROPERTY FROM FRAUD

Don’t pay for a fraud notification service when your property records can be protected for free through the Highlands County Clerk of Circuit Court and Comptroller’s Office. PROPERTY FRAUD ALERT is a free service that warns property owners of potential instances of property fraud by notifying subscribers when a deed, mortgage, or other document is recorded under their name in their local county’s official records.

If you get a suspicious charge on your credit or check card, your bank will send you an alert. Before you sign into email or any other online account from a new device or terminal, the website will send you an alert to confirm it’s you.It should be the same if someone tries to register a title deed to your house. You can set that up, and the Highlands County Clerk of Courts Office has it for free.
